Disclaimer
I have created this website to assist in bringing all information together in Prince George - BUT I HAVE NOT VERIFIED ALL OF THIS INFORMATION or it could have become out-of-date. Please contact any farms etc before visiting to ensure they are operational and let me know if they are not! I have also NOT VERIFIED any farms etc. for qualifications in the 100 Mile Diet, these are just listings of all local NON-BIG BOX companies.
Please feel free to send me updates of your own findings! - my email can be found in the "About Me" section on the right and in the complete profile (of me).

Good Food Box
The Good Food Box is a monthly, bulk-produce buying program open to anyone interested in good nutrition and saving money. No membership is required. By pooling your money with others, you can increase your buying power and you can expect to save 30-40% on your fresh fruit and vegetable purchases. The program aims to help build a healthier community and local food system by encouraging consumption and appreciation of locally grown farm produce.
When local supplies are exhausted, we purchase through local wholesalers. The intentions of the Good Food Box program are to encourage healthy eating, to increase local food production and to promote and educate consumers about our food system. Through education and action, we can strive for a healthier community.
What's in the Box?
The contents of the box vary from season to season, depending on the local availability, pricing, and quality. You can expect at least 15 different types of produce in every box including potatoes, onions, carrots, salad greens and apples. The newsletter promotes local farmers, food events, and recipes.
How do I order the Box?
Locate the most convenient depot for your food box pick-up and then drop your $15.00 cash payment (exact change please) at the corresponding registration centre by the first Friday of the month.
You will receive a receipt that details the time and place to pick up your food box. Pick-up day is the third Wednesday of every month. Don't forget to pick up your box, as leftover boxes are donated to various programs the following morning.

The Good Food Box on campus is run by the Prince George Public Interest Research Group (PGPIRG). The program is only offered during the academic year. They also sell local eggs - pre-order to reserve your dozen.
They also have a University Farmers' Market on campus! The market is usually on a Tuesday mid-day, near the bus loop, both indoor and out.
